Perhaps not the best known insect

Psocids are a type of fly, they range in size from less than 1mm to 10mm in length. They have six legs which are short and quite solid looking.

Where can Psocids be found ?

Psocids are ofter found under or on vegetation, on bark, rocks, leaf litter, or like the characters on the left eating the weatherboards of your cedar home.

Ways to tell if your home has Psocids

You may come home and think someone has been cleaning your weatherboards, as psocids eat the surface layer off and this makes it appear clean.
